As you all know I love Purple! So when Pantone announced their color of the year of course I was ecstatic.

“It may look like plain old purple but radiant orchid is a “captivating, magical, enigmatic purple,” according to Pantone, the company that claims global authority on color trends and recently revealed radiant orchid as the color of the year.

It is used above on the walls with Valspar Paint and set against reds and oranges to give the room a Moroccan feel.

Orchid is a deep rich color that can be paired with neutrals or a monochromatic color for the spring and summer or grays and navy for autumn and winter. Any pairing will be visually enticing. You will see it in the home on textiles, upholstery, wallpapers and even on wall paint. Be daring, it is as adaptable as it is beautiful.
You can make your walls a conversation piece with an array of wallpapers that have come out by York Wallpaper, add some glam to your bed with this Urban Outfitters duvet and pillows and pair it up with whites and greys for a contemporary feel!

Sneak peak of a stone we are using in the new Holguin Home Collection which previews in fall of 2014! It is full of purples, pinks, greys & blues. Since the Holguin brand colors begin with purple, we found it absolutely fabulous to include Pantones Radiant Orchid into our collection. You will see it in some of the jewelry pieces and home accessories.
